Elam is a well-known name for researchers as a cultural and political power in the Ancient Near East and a historical period full of ups and downs. The cultural remains of this historical period have been well identified in archaeological excavations. Among the cultural remains of this period, which have been obtained from scientific archaeological excavations, seals are among the most important evidence that can draw a clear picture of the cultural events of this period for researchers. Inscription stamps also introduce us to their owners, who they were or their occupation. Cylinder seals, through their depictions, provide insights into clothes and fashions, building techniques and decoration, weaponry and furnishings, agricultural methods and accoutrements, as well as ritual actions and ceremonies, such as royal hunts, banquets and worship/presentation scenes. In 2019, a collection of seals from the National Museum of Iran, including 50 seals of Elamite cylinders (Old and Middle Elam), were studied. Among these seals, an inscribed seal was identified which, although previously examined by Ascalone and reflected in his treatise, the text had not been translated, so by translating this seal obtained from Delfan, two people were named. We find that they are probably well-known scribes. Although the exact location of the seal is not known, the inscription on it and mentioning this name on other inscriptions can provide us with good information. In this article, we will examine the style and form of this seal, examine the text and date it. Accordingly, this seal belongs to a person named Šadu-nasir and belongs to the ancient Elam period, which in addition to showing the influence of Elamite culture in this region, but also an important clue to the relations between Khuzestan and the Central Zagros in the early second millennium BC. In this seal, we will deal with the points that who is Šadu-nasir and why his seal was found in Delfan?
